D.J.Protheroe & Sons is an Independent family run funeral service established in 1987 by the late Reverend David Jones Protheroe, with his wife Anne and youngest son Robert. Robert then extended and opened an office here in Brynmawr in 2019.

Still family owned by Robert, supported by a small team of dedicated staff, provide a 24 hour, 365 days a year service.

D J Protheroe & Sons provide both attended and unattended services that include burial and cremation.
